How to Prepare:
Practical Preparation
To prepare for your call, we kindly ask you to:
Take the call somewhere quiet.
Find a private space so you can be open and honest about your story and what you’re looking for.
Set aside the scheduled time of 45 minutes to be present with us.
Give yourself five minutes before settling your mind and getting in the right headspace.
Familiarize yourself with how to access the Zoom call (detailed on the next page).
How to Prepare:
Personal Preparation
Exploration Call
We will ask some personal questions to serve you during the call. The more open you are, the more you can gain from your experience and help me make the best recommendation for your retreat.
This will help you be better prepared by clarifying and bringing greater awareness to your intentions and the changes you want to see in your life. Here are some questions to get you started:
Are there any thought patterns or behaviors you notice in your life that you believe are holding you back?
Are there any events in your life that, when you recall their memory, carry pain or potential trauma or carry fear they might repeat that you would like to resolve and make peace with?
When you think about your close relationships with family, friends, or partner, are there any particular things you want to improve?
When you think about your profession, career, or work, is there anything missing that you would like to accomplish or achieve? If yes, what changes do you need to make to your life to make this happen?
If you could make three changes to your life today, what would they be?
Retreat Details
Confluence Retreats’ flagship programs are 5-day retreat programs designed for lasting transformation, around two psilocybin sessions. This retreat is supported by many additional practices to put you in the right state of mind for this experience, such as meditation and breathwork.
As part of the group experience and workshops, you’ll also get 3 x personal 1:1 coaching sessions and unlimited exploration of the 100+ acre forested property where the retreat is located.
The 5-day experience provides a long window of neuroplasticity, allowing for in-depth exploration and insight into your mind and world, and helps you envision, create, and integrate the positive change you want to see in your life.
To fully support your growth, we also include two weeks of preparation in the form of two 90-minute group calls and one individual 90-minute call with your facilitator.
Most importantly, two weeks of integration after your five-day retreat will help you stay connected with the group, be held accountable for your changes, and be supported as you integrate into your daily life through two 90-minute calls.
You’ll also have a 90-minute individual call with your facilitator as part of your integration.

Meet Your Exploration Call Guides:
Myles Katz, Founder & Licensed Facilitator
As a startup founder, I have focused on creating transformative experiences. I co-founded the Synthesis Institute, where, from 2018 to 2023, we hosted over 1,000 participants at legal group psilocybin retreats near Amsterdam and trained more than 300 Psychedelic Practitioners.
In 2020, I returned to Oregon to support the legal psilocybin movement in the U.S., bringing insights from my international experience. I have helped shape Oregon’s psilocybin regulations and currently serve on the Advisory Board of Omnia Group Ashland, a key partner of Confluence Retreats.
I am eager to discuss how Confluence Retreats can be a meaningful part of your transformational journey. I look forward to our conversation and am here to answer any questions you might have.
I can't wait to embark on this journey.

Arin Amsler, Exploration Call Guide
I've spent the last decade immersed in psychedelic cultures of all kinds, from indigenous Peruvian traditions to North American underground communities. In addition, I spent the last 5 years of my professional career working as a retreat facilitator and HR Director at The Synthesis Institute, one of the modern psychedelic field's groundbreaking first-movers.
Beyond extensive experience as both a participant and facilitator of various kinds of retreats, I am a lifelong student of transformation. I have studied many integration-focused modalities from embodiment to coaching to psychotherapeutic systems, and am a committed lifelong student-practitioner of Eastern nondual spirituality. Outside of my role with Confluence Retreats, I contribute my passions and skills as a Yoga Therapist and Eating Disorder Recovery Coach.
Along my journey I've been fortunate to have many extraordinary guides to help point the way, and I'm enthusiastic about paying that forward! Our conversation will be a great opportunity to unearth any questions you have, and explore what support you may need to take the next step on your journey. Looking forward to speaking with you!

FAQs
During your call, I’d love to address any questions or concerns you might have. To best use this time, it’s helpful if you can write down anything specific you’d like to discuss. Here are some of our most frequently asked questions to help fill in some gaps before your call.
I can’t make the time I initially allocated. Can I reschedule my call?
To reschedule your call, click on the “reschedule” link from Calendly inside the calendar invite you were sent for your booking. If you are having trouble with this, please email support@confluenceretreats.org to reschedule your call.
Can I join the call with my partner?
We recommend that you join the call by yourself, even if you’d like to attend together. Your motivations and intentions might be very personal, and we’d encourage you to share those on your call. Some couples, however, decide to have their call together, and you’re most welcome to do so.
What’s your take on couples (or family members, friends) attending together?
Coming together or not is a very personal decision. Many couples join us for a retreat together and have a wonderful time. Coming together can be a very bonding experience for both of you, a transformative experience to share and remember.
In some cases, it might make sense to come alone. If you have a personal issue you’d like to work on during the retreat, having your significant other around could distract you. For instance, you might worry about them and be unable to focus on your process. In this case, coming separately might be better.
Have you already decided that you’ll come together? Excellent. This is how it works: Both of you need to sign up for an Exploration Call, which is followed by our Health & Safety Check. The Health & Safety Check is a mandatory step for each of you. You may schedule your call together or separately, that’s up to you, but please let your exploration guide know in advance if you come together on your call.
What’s the ideal flight schedule for my arrival/departure?
Arrival to Rogue Valley International Medford Airport: The shuttle service to the venue leaves from Rogue Valley International Medford Airport Airport at 11:30 am Pacific Time (PT). Please remember that you should land by 11:00 am CET at Rogue Valley International Medford Airport on the first day of your retreat to make it through customs on time.
Departure from Rogue Valley International Medford Airport Airport: We advise you to book your returning flight after 6:00 pm PT on the day of departure, as the retreat will wrap up at 4:00 pm PT, and drop off will be at Rogue Valley International Medford Airport at 5:00 pm. This should give you sufficient time to make it through security without unnecessary stress.
Can I stay an extra night before or after the retreat at your venue?
You are welcome to stay at the retreat center either before or after your retreat for a charge of $200/night. Please note that if you stay for additional nights, you will be responsible for your meals and transportation before or after the program officially starts and stops. There are cooking facilities in every accommodation at the venue, so bringing food and cooking your meals is easily possible.
What do you mean by shared accommodation?
All cabins are two bedrooms and feature full cooking facilities and a bathroom. Single participants will be allocated rooms with single beds, separated by gender. For example - If you’re a woman attending alone, you will share a cabin with another woman. Couples attending together can occupy an entire cabin to themselves as well. You can see photos of the cabins on our website in the “Explore The Confluence Retreats Gallery” section of our website homepage.
Towels, linens, soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided for each of our guests. High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the retreat center, although it is highly recommended that you disconnect as much as possible during your retreat.
What do you recommend to prepare for the experience?
After booking, we send you a document with guidelines and tools to help you prepare for the journey and ensure you’ll get the most out of the experience.
